Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about NewFoodCenter.
How often are flyers updated?
Weekly. Each chain publishes a new flyer on its own cycle (Wed–Tue or Thu–Wed); we ingest within 24 hours of release.
Which languages are supported?
English, Spanish, and Tagalog. Every page, every email alert, and every chat answer can be served in any of the three.
How do email alerts work?
Set an alert on any item with a max price; we'll email you a daily digest the morning of any day a matching item drops below your threshold. Click 'unsubscribe' in any email to turn alerts off.
Do you sell my data?
No. We don't sell email addresses, ZIP codes, or any browsing data. Sign-up is optional — anonymous chat works too.
Is NewFoodCenter free?
Yes, free at launch and for the foreseeable future. We may add affiliate links to Instacart later, but the core product stays free.
Which stores do you cover?
12 stores at launch in the Inland Empire: Northgate González, Vallarta, Cardenas, El Super, Superior Grocers, Seafood City, Island Pacific, 99 Ranch, Ralphs, Smart & Final, Food 4 Less, and Stater Bros.
Why these stores?
We focus on Latino and Filipino grocery chains that Flipp underserves, plus a few mainstream chains for cross-shopping. Independent and Facebook-only stores are deferred to v2.
What if my favorite store isn't listed?
Email us at hello@newfoodcenter.com. We're prioritizing new stores by community demand.
How do you know what's on sale?
An operator runs an AI extraction over each chain's published flyer (PDF or image). Human QA reviews low-confidence prices before they go live.
Can I trust the prices?
We aim for ≥98% accuracy at launch and human-QA every flyer. If a price looks off, click 'View flyer' on any result to see the original source.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. The site is mobile-responsive — works great on phones in a browser.
Can I help?
Yes — email us at hello@newfoodcenter.com if you'd like to test, give feedback, or contribute recipes in your language.
